Spring! Finally! When I think of spring, I picture the beautiful colors of new trees and flowers. For our Welcome Spring Girls’ Night, I chose pastel shades of pink and green. These colors together definitely say spring. Whether you’re planning a shower, birthday, or just a fun evening with friends, this party is perfect for your springtime event. Here I share everything you need from cocktails, to a fun party game, and of course desserts, to make it a beautiful and memorable event.

A spring party should feel light and airy after the heaviness of winter. I carried that feel as well as the pretty pastels throughout all aspects of our girls night. We started with cocktails. (With this group it’s really all about the cocktails!) Thankfully the spring showers held off and we were able to set up the bar outside with all of that lush green as our backdrop. The weather was perfect for enjoying a cocktail outside as guests arrived.

I chose the Pink Lemonade Margarita as the signature drink for the evening. I love love these! Who doesn’t love a margarita? This twist on the classic cocktail is on point with the beautiful pink of the margarita and the green of the lime garnish. The sweet pink lemonade and tart lime are classic spring drink flavors that definitely make you feel like sitting out on the patio and enjoying the warmer weather. This cocktail is simple with only a few ingredients, but packs a punch with both the pretty spring colors and bold flavors. Your guests will love this beautiful spring cocktail.

Crisp white wine gives guests an alternative cocktail option and the wine glasses with pretty pink stems bring a perfect touch of the theme color. A simple white metal bucket creates a clean look and keeps wine chilled, while also allowing guests to easily refill their glass as needed.

It’s time to move the party inside to eat! I chose some light, springtime bites to keep things simple and easy to eat while enjoying cocktails and mingling.

The Pimento Cheese Bites were the crowd pleaser of the evening! These little appetizers are loaded with flavor. The crunch of the phyllo shells, the creamy pimento cheese, and the spice of the pepper jelly make it a perfect combination.

Veggies and dip are a staple at any get together, especially a spring party with the vibrant colors of vegetables. For the dip, I chose something a little different from the usual ranch. Don’t get me wrong, ranch is always a crowd favorite, but I had seen this Really Good Veggie Dip recipe and had to give it a try! This dip has herbs, which definitely tastes like spring and a nice creamy texture. It is really a good veggie dip!

So I may have cheated on these a bit, but petite quiches are so good and yes very easy! They are perfectly bite size, which makes them perfect with cocktails and you simply pop them in the oven and they’re ready to go.

This Avocado Dip was super easy to make and the green of the avocados and yellow corn are the colors of spring. The key to this dip is the ripe avocados and you’ve got it made!

The dessert table! This is where the theme really comes together and creates a beautiful focal point for your party. Pastel pink and green definitely says spring and this table to incorporates not only the colors, but also the flavors of the season.

The pinks and greens work beautifully together. The table linen of delicate lace is the prefect pale pink hue to compliment the desserts and brings the whole table together. This table is happy and sweet.

The addition of darker shades of the theme colors provides depth and makes for a beautiful table, like these pink peonies and the green of the hydrangeas.

These vanilla bean mini cakes by Olivia Marshall with She’s Cake are the star of the show! They are so elegant with the pale pink swiss meringue buttercream and just a touch of cake showing through. They are so pretty that guests may actually mistake them for candles! The single hydrangea flower adds a simple, spring touch.

The macaron is definitely a dainty cookie that adds beautiful color to any dessert table. Olivia made these cookies in the perfect shade of spring green with a delicate almond flavor filled with a whipped white chocolate ganache. I wanted just a touch of pink and found these raspberry macarons at our local grocery store!

I wanted a dessert with a tart lime flavor and different in look and texture from the other desserts. I chose Key Lime Cheesecake Jars that are not only super cute, but also taste amazing! I found the jars at our local craft store in the wedding aisle. I love that these desserts are just the right serving size and bring that natural green color of the lime that reminds us that warmer weather is here!

Strawberries are spring. These white chocolate dipped sun ripened strawberries by She’s Cake add a sweet treat tinted to compliment the colors of this spring party.

It all comes together! The desserts, flowers, and the paper lanterns, which add a fun, whimsical touch in the party colors.

It wouldn’t be a party without a party game, right? Games are a fun way to get guests talking and laughing and are a great way to bring a group of guests together that may not know each other well or even at all. We played “The Bowl Game” and it was a hit! The purpose of the game is to try to guess who is behind the personal fact drawn from the bowl, while trying to come up with unknown facts about yourself that no one will guess. It’s amazing what you will learn, even about your closest friends! Be prepared to use your poker face so you don’t give yourself away.

The game alone is fun, but we decided to keep score and make it competitive. The winner received this cute, get ready for summer gift!

A pretty pastel party with cocktails, tasty appetizers, a fun game full of laughter, and of course a beautiful dessert table that brings the colors and feel of spring together!
