As a kid, I loved Valentine’s Day! I loved passing out my cards and reading all of the little notes from my friends. It’s such a sweet holiday and it comes at just the right time in the year. February is right in the middle of winter with cold, short days and spring seems like forever away. This Valentine party with beautiful shades of pink and hearts and treats is just what you need!
These heart cookies are Valentine’s Day all wrapped up in one simple dessert. I love the sprinkles! They remind me of sweet pink pearls and the touch of silver is really dainty. My daughter, Lila loves to help and she did a great job. We used both white and pink icing to add some variation and the sprinkles really pop on these cookies.
Speaking of pop…cake pops! They are like fun little explosions of confetti! A dessert on a stick is always party appropriate.
The pink and white look really pretty together and it’s fun to use different kinds of sprinkles. The hearts show up so well against the white cake pops. Nothing says Valentine’s Day more than conversation hearts! They look so cute in this pretty glass and they work great for holding our cake pops in place and make serving super easy.
Macarons are one of my favorite additions to any dessert table! They are so elegant and beautiful! The shades of pink are perfect for this Valentine’s celebration. I have mentioned this in previous posts, but it’s worth sharing again. I walk through the specialty food section at Home Goods all the time just to see what they have. That’s where I found these strawberry, raspberry, and passion fruit macarons. The pink hues look beautiful with all of the other sweet treats!
As I always say, what’s a party without cupcakes?! Less is often more and these simple cupcakes are pretty and elegant. The pink candy shred (which I picked up at a craft store) with the white icing is just enough pink and beautiful. I love these cupcake toppers I found at Home Goods! They remind me of conversation hearts and the shades of pink are perfect. I used hot pink baking cups and red cupcake wrappers and they just work together! The dainty heart cutouts in the wrap are elegant and romantic. I love the final look of this classic party dessert!
I love this Valentine’s Day party! The shades of pink, hearts, and treats create a fun and pretty table perfect for this sweet holiday! Have guests decorate gift bags and exchange cards and small gifts. For an adult girls’ get together, serve guests sparkling rose champagne. Happy Valentine’s Day!
