What’s the perfect dessert for Valentine’s Day?? Red velvet cake of course… I actually think it’s perfect for every occasion because it’s hands down my favorite! In addition to the rich flavor, the deep red color makes it a classic dessert for this holiday!
Look at those layers! I used mini heart pans and stacked three layers for a more dramatic effect. The naked cake design allows all of that pretty red velvet to show!
Cream cheese icing is the only option for red velvet and the addition of pink really gives this dessert the look of Valentine’s Day. The mixture of three piping tips adds depth and texture and makes for a beautiful and fancy little cake!
In addition to the 3 tiered cakes, I also chose simple and pretty mini red velvet bundt cakes. They are classic and beautifully displayed on mini cake stands, which are the perfect size for these small cakes. For these smaller desserts, I drizzled just one icing color per mini cake.
I love how these mini bundt cakes turned out! To give them the look of Valentine’s Day, I added a few candy pearls in both pale pink and white to the top of each cake. That simple addition brings the whole look together and makes for pretty little desserts!
