I love using tiered trays for decorating! I found this one at TJ Maxx and I use it for every season. The galvanized metal gives it a farmhouse look and the contrasting dark metal adds a rustic feel to the look. Because the look of this tiered tray is so versatile, I can change the look from one holiday or season to the next. I like using the tiered style on our kitchen table because it’s the most used space in the house and I can simply pick up the entire piece and move it out of the way as needed.
I think the key to a tiered tray, like with most decorating is to mix colors and textures to give the overall look balance. On the top tier I used 2 wooden balls, but in different colors and style. I pick them up whenever I see them and use them in various places throughout our house. I have found that Pier1 and Tuesday Morning have the best selection. I love the little green plants wrapped in burlap. It adds a natural feel to the look (even though they aren’t real). I picked them up at our local craft store for just a few dollars. To finish the look, I added a single tea light candle in a pretty bronze.
On the bottom tier, I used some of the same elements. I love the way the green, orange, and brown work together. The green is a traditional spring color and it works well with the bright orange. The brown of the wooden ball, the burlap, and the votive candles adds a natural feel and grounds the overall look.
I love the way this spring tiered tray turned out! Tiered trays are a pretty and practical way to decorate your table. They add height and depth to your space. The overall look tells a story and this story is all about a new beginning and warmer weather to come!
