We love decorating Easter eggs! With traditional dye you can usually only do one color and if you try to do more you end up with a muddy mess! We decided to paint eggs this time!

I like to use the fake eggs so that we can keep them and look at them every year. We picked these up at Walmart for a few dollars. We have found that they don’t work well with the dye, but for this project they are perfect.

You’ll need some paint and brushes. We used acrylic paints in bright colors. It may be helpful to have several different sizes of brushes to give you a variety of painting options.

We thought glitter would be fun and add some sparkle. We chose some bright, spring colors. You’ll also need some craft glue and a brush.

Now paint away! You can get really creative here! You can paint a solid egg and add a touch of glitter or you can go wild with your paint and have all sorts of colors.
Aren’t they pretty?! I love how they turned out! The glitter was a great addition. We liked the rose gold glitter so much we decided to just use the glue and cover the egg in it!

Happy egg painting and Happy Easter!
